I bought this mixer grinder for a sausage making business. The knife part of the grinder shattered when I turned it on for the first time, before I could grind any meat. Tundra sent me a replacement knife for it which didn't fit the auger, then Vollrath was supposed to send an entire replacement grinder which still hasn't arrived. 2 months into my business I have not been able to use it at all for the purpose I bought it for and to make matters worse, Tundra informed me I probably cannot return machine to manufacturer. Additionally, there are only 3 gears and you cannot switch between gears while the machine is running. There is also a safety cover which makes it difficult if not impossible to add liquid while mixing which is crucial for making sausage as well as for mixing a wide variety of things. I have had a very unpleasant experience with this product so far.

I bought this mixer for an artisan chocolate shop to mix fondants, truffles, and to whip cream. As soon as the warranty expired (one year), the machine started to shut off after one minute of operation. Now it only runs for about ten seconds before it shuts off. I can't even find out who makes this mixer or find any one who fixes it. I would avoid this mixer at all costs.
Cons: Not durable
