Long stems are harder to find out there. Most I have seen are shorter stems which are not long enough for my larger steaming pitchers. The dial is very large and easy to read and the color codes on the dial make it extremely handy under low light conditions. Although the clear dial is easy to crack when dropped, I would continue to buy this product.

Pros: High quality, easy to calibrate, color codes on dial.

Cons: clear dial easy to crack when dropped.
